Jenny always knew she was going to make a difference in others lives but not sure in what form. She obtained her Bachelors in Science in Physical Education with an Endorsement in Health and teaching certificate from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. After college she moved to Texas and worked with trouble youth and she began to get clarity on what she wanted to do with her life. She graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, TX with her Master’s in Biblical Counseling. From there she moved to Arizona to work at Remuda Ranch, an inpatient treatment center for eating disorders as a therapist and body image specialist, until 2011. She has been working in the field of Counseling since 2001 and her specialties lie in the area of eating disorders and body image. She has worked in private practice and was an adjunct instructor for Grand Canyon University in their graduate counseling program. She works at GCU counseling center, counseling college students. She has also spoken and written articles on the topics of eating disorders and athletes, and body image. Her other counseling experience expands to grief and loss, anxiety, depression, family systems, identify, self esteem, trauma and abuse, OCD, spiritual integration. She has a passion for Africa and hopes to do more service work there in the future.
Jenny provides Body Image Services at the Liberation Center, a partial hospitalization program for those struggling with eating disorders in Phoenix, AZ. Jenny is blessed to work with the staff and clients here as the program is easily customized to meet the individual needs and goals of the clients. There are also a variety of groups and experientials offered such as gardening, art, movement, cooking and off-site experientials. The staff utilize evidence based therapies and there is an intimate atmosphere among the staff and clients that promotes safety and trust.
