Dr. Adeola Adelayo is double board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois at Chicago where she also graduated with Honors. Dr. Adelayo completed her General Psychiatry residency and her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship also at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the Institute for Juvenile Research respectively.
Dr. Adelayo is well-versed in the management of emotional and behavioral problems across the developmental continuum. She believes in comprehensive psychiatric care and works collaboratively with patients and families to develop a holistic treatment plan. She incorporates techniques from a wide variety of psychological styles in conjunction with evidence-based psychopharmacologic treatment. She is very conservative in her use of conventional medications and is open to alternative medicines and therapies.
Dr. Adelayo prides herself in her great compassion for patient care and ability to empathically elicit her patient’s concerns and vigorously address these concerns with them. With Dr. Adelayo, her patients are her priority, ALWAYS. Dr. Adelayo oversees the psychological and psychiatric care of Liberation Center’s PHP and IOP patients. She does not maintain an outpatient psychiatric practice.
