Jessica Juhnke, LMSW
Jessica received her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Social Work from Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to Liberation Center, Jessica worked as a clinical therapist at McCallum Place Eating Disorder Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Jessica enjoys working with patients as they explore they connection between their past experiences and their current eating disorder symptoms. She views an increased sense of safety and trust within one’s body as a crucial part of treatment, and enjoys working with her patients to develop an individualized treatment plan that will promote confidence in their recovery process. Jessica promotes a trauma focused approach to eating disorder treatment, and is a trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). Her therapeutic approach also combines components from her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Somatic Experiencing. In addition to eating disorders, Jessica enjoys working with patients to explore issues related to reproductive health, sexuality, trauma, and relationships. She is a member of the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). Jessica is currently under the supervision of Tamara Hoyt, LCSW, CEDS (Missouri License #005560).
