Clarisa offers therapeutic services and education to adults with a blend of traditional western approaches to psychotherapy with other holistic forms of healing such as Mindfulness, Sensorimotor, Existentialism, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). By integrating these holistic modalities with more traditional forms of psychotherapy Clarisa aspire to help guide your healing process emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. This allows a deeper healing experience that allows for addressing the whole person, instead of focusing on one piece such as cognitions, which many therapies tend to do. Further, by focusing on mind, body, and spirit, Clarisa addresses symptoms from all perspectives, which will create the likelihood for stable improvement outside of the therapy session, as it gives you more tools to use from each of these dimensions.
Clarisa’s philosophy in therapy is on the belief everyone has the innate capacity to heal. She is a believer in the healing process and empowers individuals to re-connect with their authentic self to live a fuller, happier and peaceful life. Clarisa does this by offering empathy, unconditional positive regard, being my authentic self, and gently inviting clients to create change in their lives that will result in increased joy and vitality.
